Author Guidelines

The manuscript submission process on the Book Cita Cendekia platform is designed to ensure that every work meets strict academic standards. Before you begin, please make sure your manuscript complies with our writing guidelines, which can be accessed through the Terms and Condition. Here is a step-by-step guide to uploading your manuscript:

  1. Entering Initial Metadata and the Title: The first step begins with entering the manuscript’s basic information. Authors are required to enter the full title (main title) and subtitle (if any). The title must accurately and clearly represent the monograph’s content and reflect the academic substance addressed. Ensure that spelling and grammar conform to the language standards used in the manuscript.
  2. Keyword Cataloging (Keywords): Authors are required to include relevant keywords (at least 3–5 words). Keywords serve as crucial metadata identifiers to facilitate indexing in international databases and search engines. Choose terms most commonly used in the relevant field of study so that your work can be more easily found by other researchers.
  3. Reference Management (References): Our system requires authors to include a reference list in APA 7th edition format. Ensure that every citation in the manuscript has a corresponding entry in the reference list. Use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero to ensure accuracy and minimize typing errors when compiling the reference list.
  4. Manuscript Upload: At this stage, the author must upload the main manuscript file. Ensure the file has undergone the blind review process (if required) by removing the author’s identity from the document to maintain confidentiality. The file must be uploaded in Word or DOCX format. After the upload is complete, double-check that the uploaded file is not corrupted and matches the title entered previously.
  5. Contributor Data: Provide detailed information for all contributors or authors. Required information includes full name (without unnecessary abbreviations), institutional affiliation, active email address, and a brief profile or biography of the author. If there is more than one author, list them in order of their actual contributions to the research, and designate one person as the corresponding author who will be responsible for correspondence during the editorial process.

Finalization and Approval: Before clicking the “Submit” button, authors must review all the information they have entered. Authors are also required to confirm that the manuscript is an original work, not plagiarized, and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Once all steps have been validated, click “Submit,” and the system will provide a confirmation and a submission ID number, which you can use to track the status of your manuscript on the author dashboard.
